We all grow up with a common set of values that permeate everything we consume — things like "sharing is caring", "don't judge a book by it's cover", or "if you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all." And then, at some point, we realize that no one actually follows those rules and that getting along in society is a lot more complicated than the cliches and beliefs we've all been told to follow.
