Have you had that moment where time seemed to stand still, and you had a ton done without little effort? Like you were in a state of flow? I love it when this happens to me. It feels so good to effortlessly get stuff done and the day is not a slog. Last year, I was introduced to Hortense le Gentil, an executive coach and author. I picked up her book, Aligned: Connecting Your True Self with the Leader You’re Meant to Be, and I was inspired by it and knew I needed her on the show. I wanted to pick Hortense’s brain to learn how I can multiply these states of flow so that I’m in alignment more often. As we know, being in this state of alignment is better for our health and happiness. It drives better results and makes us better leaders. During our discussion, Hortense and I talked about:1.      What alignment means at work.2.      Signs or symptoms of not being aligned.3.      What prevents us from being aligned, including mental hurdles?4.      The steps we need to get back on track.5.      How intuition and mindfulness play a role in alignment in leadership.6.      How our work environment and the people we surround ourselves with impact us.
