Faith-Filled Food Freedom | Disordered Eating, Body Image, Weight Loss Obsession, Anxiety, Nutrition - A podcast by Brittany Braswell - Non-Diet Registered Dietitian for Christian Women - Tuesdays

Seasons of waiting don’t have to be seasons of waste. When we lean into the Lord during those times where it feels like we can’t move forward or have no idea what to do next, and we choose to seek to hear from Him, that’s when we open ourselves up to the most growth. Christie Dondero Bettwy is the Executive Director of Rock Recovery and has been in recovery from disordered eating for many years. She’s experienced first hand what it feels like to wonder if her prayers are being heard and if God is gonna show up. That’s why, in today’s episode, Christie is sharing some of what she’s learned throughout various seasons of waiting on God in recovery, and helping you learn how to trust Him through it, instead of pushing Him away. Here’s a few things you can expect to hear about in episode 13: The difference between having faith in Jesus vs. trusting in Him Why I HATE being told to wait… and probably why you do too How perfectionism shows up in seasons of waiting and how it plays a role in limiting our trust in the Lord Lessons we’ve had to learn while we waited for an answer Practical strategies to help you place your trust in God as you navigate your own seasons of waiting Resources mentioned: Learn more about Rock Recovery’s groups and resources.
