Jennifer Levin murhattiin New Yorkin Central Parkissa kesällä 1986. Teosta otettiin nopeasti kiinni hänen miespuolinen ystävänsä, joka tunnusti surmanneensa Jenniferin vahingossa. Poliisien tekemät tutkimukset kertoivat kuitenkin toisenlaista tarinaa.
