Blood and Flesh: The Reel Life and Ghastly Death of Al Adamson (2019) synopsis: “Maverick indie filmmaker Al Adamson's real life was even crazier than one of the 30-plus sex 'n' schlock drive-in movies he made in the '60s and '70s.” Director: David Gregory It’s August, so you know what that means on Podcasting After Dark: our annual documentary month is here! This week Zak and Corey kick things off with their review of Blood and Flesh: The Reel Life and Ghastly Death of Al Adamson! This is from the director of Lost Soul: The Doomed Journey of Richard Stanley's Island of Dr. Moreau, which the boys covered before on the series. Blood and Flesh plays like a two-part documentary- The first half being a history lesson on who Al Adamson was, while the second part of the film plays out like a true crime doc. Even if you aren’t familiar with cult movie maker, Al Adamson, you should definitely give this film a watch! His life was incredibly interesting, it’s just very unfortunate how it ended.
