Specifically Andy will be looking at: • What is the role of FIFA in the COVID-19 crisis • What are the conditioning for football resuming • What are the differences between working in club and political roles • What are his plan for the medical side of FIFA in the future. About Andy: “I started working in football back in Northern Ireland, played a little bit, and realised I wasn’t good enough to succeed at a higher level. Then I entered into the world of medicine through the back door, I started off as a physio and then decided to study medicine. When I finished studying, I started working in the Irish league. Thankfully I got a job with the national team in Northern Ireland, stayed there for four or five years and then moved over to Liverpool, was at Liverpool for nearly 7 years and finished up as the head of medical services there, before starting at FIFA as their medical director about three weeks ago” The Science for Sport '5 Must-Read Research Reviews on Injury Prevention & Rehab' document is available to download here... https://app.scienceforsport.com/5mrrr-injury-prevention-2 Here is the downloadable tool to determine whether mass gatherings can take place.
