Dan said his takeaway from the GMBC conversation is what the approach could be like going into the deadline. Dan is getting the indication that if the Pirates do move on from Mitch Keller, they may not get big league caliber talent in return. Dan explained that David Bednar could be difficult for the Pirates to trade due to his local ties. Dan thinks either Bednar or Dennis Santana will be elsewhere by the time the trade deadline rolls around. He also mentioned a few sentimental things Bednar did the other night, in the event he is traded.
